Chromium electroplating is a complex electrochemical process. It includes immersion in a chemical bath heated by chromic acid. The parts to be plated, the voltage is then applied through the two parts and the liquid chemical solution. After a complex chemical process, after a period of time, the thin layer of chromium metal surface will be slowly applied.

The polishing tube uses a soft polishing wheel, or a disc-shaped polishing disk, plus a polishing paste, which is also an abrasive, so that the work piece can be finely processed to obtain a high surface finish. But because it has no rigid reference surface in the processing process, it cannot eliminate the form and position error. However, compared with honing, it can polish irregular surfaces.

The piston rod is a connecting part that supports the work of the piston. Most of it is used in pneumatic cylinders and pneumatic cylinder motion execution parts. It is a moving part with frequent movement and high technical requirements. Take air cylinder as an example, which is composed of a cylinder barrel(cylinder tube ), a piston rod (cylinder rod), a piston, and an end cover. The quality of its processing directly affects the life and reliability of the entire product. The piston rod has high processing requirements, and its surface roughness is required to be Ra0.4~0.8μm, and the requirements for coaxiality and wear resistance are strict.

Reasons for overheating of the piston rod(use for pneumatic cylinder):

1. The piston rod and the stuffing box are skewed during assembly, causing local mutual friction, so they should be adjusted in time;

2. The holding spring of the sealing ring is too tight and the friction is large, so it should be adjusted appropriately;

3. The axial clearance of the sealing ring is too small, the axial clearance should be adjusted according to the specified requirements;

4. If the oil supply is insufficient, the oil quantity should be increased appropriately;

5. The piston rod and the seal ring are poorly run-in, and the run-in should be strengthened during the matching and research;

6. Impurities mixed in gas and oil should be cleaned and kept clean
