How to Remove and Replace a Pneumatic Cylinder’s Seal

Install and dismantle the pneumatic cylinder:
(1) When installing and removing the pneumatic cylinder, be sure to handle it with care to avoid damage to the pneumatic cylinder. If it exceeds a certain volume or weight, it can be hoisted.
(2) The sliding part of the piston rod should avoid collision with other objects, so as not to leave scars on its surface, which will damage the seal and cause the aluminium honed tube to leak.
(3) When the pneumatic cylinder is disassembled, it must be exhausted first, and then disassembled to avoid problems.Remove all parts of the cylinder and clean with diesel or alcohol.Check whether the parts (especially the aluminum cylinder tube and piston) are severely worn. If the air cylinder tube wear is severe, replace the cylinder.
(4) Before repairing the pneumatic cylinder, first clean the outer surface of the pneumatic cylinder, pay attention to clean it, and wipe it clean.
(5) The maintenance and replacement of the wearing parts in the cylinder should be carried out in a clean environment and on the work surface. There should be no sundries or sharp objects on the work surface, so as not to scratch the wearing parts of the cylinder.

Replace the sealing ring:
(1)Clean the surface of the cylinder block first, and then disassemble the cylinder, but it must be done in the prescribed order and cannot be reversed.
(2)Be careful not to damage the mounting groove of the end cap seal ring when removing it. Wipe off the grease around the piston seal to make it easier to remove.
(3)After dismantling the sealing rings, check them accordingly, and clean the cylinder head at the same time. Grease the new seal with grease and install it. When installing the sealing ring, please do not reverse its direction, so that the new sealing ring can have a good sealing effect.
