With these solutions, the company can be confident that the system will integrate quickly and seamlessly to achieve automation.
October 26, 2021-Festo showcased automation solutions at Assembly 2021 that can shorten time to market, reduce engineering costs and support predictive analysis. What must be seen at the Festo booth is the company’s Ethernet-based CPX-AP-I distributed I/O. Original equipment manufacturers, integrators and end users can connect up to 500 I/O modules on a single bus node and mix and match electrical and pneumatic on the same I/O network for greater flexibility and development Opportunities for unique solutions. Free online configuration tools can speed up design, while plug-and-play performance can reduce wiring and shorten installation time. CPX-AP-I comes standard with IO-Link function, which can facilitate cloud-based predictive analysis. The I/O system has an IP65/IP67 grade module that can be installed on the machine, which can eliminate the time, expense and space occupied by the control panel in many applications. The maximum distance between modules is 50 meters, making CPX-AP-I an ideal choice for large systems. Festo also has Simplified Motion Series (SMS) electric actuators. This new series combines the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of pneumatic devices with the advantages of low energy consumption and precise positioning of electrical devices. SMS actuators now also provide infinitely variable three-position motion for economical integrated servo motion solutions. The SMS series includes ball screws, toothed belts, miniature sliders, electric cylinders, piston rods and rotary actuator styles, which are suitable for a wide range of applications. The setting of two or three positions is very simple, which can realize quick start and flexible conversion. Festo exhibits include a series of electric actuators for multi-axis motion. Using the online processing guide, a free online configuration tool, you can specify a single-axis or multi-axis motion system in less than 30 minutes. The configuration only needs to insert the basic operating parameters of the online tool, such as speed, load and torque. No equation can work. At the end of the session, online processing guide users will receive a quote for the system they just configured and the 2D and 3D models. The immediate availability of quotations and models means that in-house design and manufacturing can continue between order placement and shaft delivery to speed time to market. In addition, Festo electric shafts can be specified for third-party motors, giving customers the freedom to choose the best actuator/motor combination for their projects. You can order easy-to-assemble kits or shafts ready to install sub-components. Another special product is the YJKP servo press for electric press fitting applications. Since it is provided as a kit, it requires less work to integrate YJKP into a larger system than an assembly press. The function and easy setting of its software are important factors in deciding to buy YJKP. Festo demonstrated the VTEM Motion Terminal, which is the world’s first smart valve terminal. VTEM has the latest downloadable applications. Since the downloadable application is modified for new functions rather than hardware, a single mobile terminal can replace up to 50 different hardware components. This enables original equipment manufacturers, integrators and end users to reduce inventory and standardize on fewer components. On Tuesday, October 27th, 11:45-12:15 in the Learning Theater presentation will discuss the issue of speeding up time to market and reducing engineering costs. Sandro Quintero, Festo’s Electrical Automation Business Development Manager, will introduce how the coordination of pre-sales, design engineering, procurement, control engineering and after-sales functions can significantly improve the company’s competitiveness.Compact cylinder tube
