The working principle of the pneumatic cylinder magnetic switch is to use the effect of the magnetic field. When a magnetic substance approaches the switch, the magnetic field will change, thus changing the state of the switch. This kind of switch is usually composed of magnetic material and pneumatic components.

When the magnetic material is close to the switch, the magnetic material will be affected by the magnetic force, so that the pneumatic components will move, and finally realize the control of the switch.

A magnetic ring with a permanent magnet (rubber magnet or plastic magnet) is mounted on the piston of the pneumatic cylinder. When the magnetic ring moving with the piston approaches the switch, the two reeds of the reed switch are magnetized and attract each other, and the contacts are closed; when the magnetic ring moves away from the switch, the reeds lose their magnetism and the contacts are disconnected. When the contact is closed or disconnected, an electric signal is sent out (or the electric signal disappears), and the corresponding solenoid valve is controlled to complete the switching action.
